I am a busy bee working on my next Goosberry Patch review but I wanted to make sure that no one missed the recipes from the first review AND to remind everyone that the giveaway drawing is on Monday (12/27). Kicked-Up Eggs

Beckie Apple, Grannis AR - GBP Homestyle in a Hurry

1/4 c butter
1 c cooked ham, diced
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
4-ounce can sliced mushrooms, drained
10 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
8-ounce pkg shredded cheddar cheese

In a large, deep skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add ham, onion, green pepper and mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring often. Reduce heat to low; add eggs, salt and pepper. Do not stir for 2 minutes so egg whites can set. After 2 minutes,stir egg mixture and add cheese. Continue cooking, stirring gently, until eggs are softly scrambled. Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Sour Cream Scones

2 c all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c butter
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c sour cream

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs. In a seperate bowl, mix eggs and sour cream; stir into flour mixture until dough leaves the sides of the bowl. Knead for one minute. On a floured surface, roll out dough into a 9-inch by 6-inch rectangle. Cut into 6 3-inch by 3-inch squares; cut each square diagonally. Arrange scones on an ungreased baking sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 1 dozen.

Broccoli-Bacon Toss

Rose Griep, Oil City, PA - GBP Homestyle in a Hurry

1 bunch broccoli
1 onion, finely diced
3-1/2 oz. pkg bacon bits
3/4 c shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c sunflower seeds
1 c currents

In a large serving bowl, mix together all ingredients. Drizzle with Parmesan Dressing; toss to coat lightly. Serves 10 to 12.

Parmesan Dressing:
2 c mayonnaise
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c grated Parmesan

Mix together all ingredients in a small bowl.

Caramel Apple Cake
(Printable Version)
Gloria Robertson, Midland, TX - GBP Homestyle in a Hurry

16-ounce pkg angel food cake mix
21-ounce can apple pie filling
1 tsp apple pie spice
1/2 c caramel ice cream topping

Mix together dry cake mix, pie filling and spice in a bowl. Pour into a 13X9-inch baking pan sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cool: drizzle with topping. Makes 12 to 15 servings.

    My friend, each of these dishes sounds sooo yummy! Ohh, and I haven't had dinner yet so I would take some of each dish right now! Hehe! Each recipe sounds so good...I love the Kicked Up Eggs and Sour Cream Scone recipes! I will definitely be giving them a try! Ohhh...and the caramel cake sounds absolutely divine!
