On a recent trip to my favorite quilt store,
Material Girl in Grand Island, NE, I saw the most wonderful display of vintage picnic items. I am such a lover of the color red, and know I was attracted to this display by all the red but I also really love the picnic items. Seems like leftover items from a simpler time. I have 2 vintage picnic baskets that currently reside under a bench and hold overflow dishware and table linens but I am inspired to get them out and use them for a picnic sometime soon!
