St. Patrick's Day Crawl & Tablescape Thursday!

Editing to add to Susan's Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch.

Posting to Kathleen's 2nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Crawl. Check out all the posts and join in on the St. Paddy's Fun.

We had our St Paddy's Dinner on Saturday. We invited 2 families to join us in the fun.

Irish music playing to set the mood!

The candle holder is from TJMaxx a couple years ago and the vase green bud vase was my Grandmother-in-law's.

Wonderful Irish cheeses made up a cheeseboard with homemade whole wheat crackers on the side.

Festive table set with a green plaid tablecloth I picked up at TJMaxx a few years back on clearance. They only had 4 napkins so I bought a second tablecloth and made some more. Now I have a cloth, 15 napkins and a table runner, all made for about $10.00.

My everday white dishes and flatware

and water goblets from Dollar Tree.

The lovely white bowl with the shamrocks was a gift from a friend.

Some of my vintage pickle dishes...I love these shamrock ones!

Beautiful fresh white tulips in an old green florists vase from the thrift store.

On the menu:
Corned Beef
Sauted Cabbage w/Bacon
Colcannon
Roasted Carrots
Mashed Turnips
Irish Soda Bread w/Irish Butter
Old Fashioned Bread Pudding w/Vanilla Sauce

  1. Faith and begorrah! That is a lovely wee Irish table! I'm one sixteenth Irish - can I be invited next year?

My wee bit Irish heart is also impressed with turning a tablecloth into napkins, runners, etc. Very clever!

With the last name of McGough you'd think we celebrate St. Pat's Day.

Maybe I will suprise my husband with an Irish meal tomorrow.
    Thanks for the idea

Thanks for visiting my blog today and I have to say those are the cutest vintage shamrock dishes. I was just at Disney this past weekend and your would not believe the amount of Irish dolls and shirts and hats they had with Mickey on them for St. Pat's day. I hear they light up the castle green that night too. Well, if they make it they will sell it for whatever holiday and that is the truth.

  1. Mrs. P- I love Dublinder Cheese. Yummy. I know my invitation was lost in the mail, I just love your menu! I am not sure what colcannon is but I bet I'd love that too. Yummy, again.
