From The Hymnal~Grace Greater Than Our Sin

Sunday, October 3, 2010

...But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. Romans 5:20

This is a hymn we sang last week on Sunday morning. What a message it delivers of our Savior's love and GRACE. Please meditate over the words and listen and be blessed.

Grace Greater Than Our Sin

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured,
There where the blood of the Lamb was spilled.

Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold,
Threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold,
Points to the refuge, the mighty cross.

Dark is the stain that we cannot hide.
What can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide,
Brighter than snow you may be today.

Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,
Freely bestowed on all who believe!
You that are longing to see His face,
Will you this moment His grace receive?

    This is one of the hymns that I walk around the house singing to myself when I do my housework. I can sing it over and over and over.

    Love it.

    Love that hymn too! We sang "God of Grace and God of Glory" Sunday so it really seems like we were all learning to really appreciate God's incredible grace. Thanks for stopping by!
