*Blue* Sunday

Not sure what it is -- feeling a little bluesy today! Maybe it is the cloud cover, or the fact that I am kind of sore from my run/walk yesterday or maybe my nest is feeling extra empty today or my Momma (and Daddy) are seeming extra far away in their new Arizona home -- not really sure, but I think my plan is to waller in it a little while. That is a rare move for me but my plan is to enjoy a melancholy afternoon. So what do you do when you plan to embrace the blues for a bit?

For me, it will look like this.......

(Jane's troubles are almost always worse than mine).

The projects I had planned can wait until later - tomorrow is a new day and I hear the sun will shine :)

Oh dear! Gail, I hope your blues give way to sunshine soon. I wanted to say don't wallow in those blues to long but sometimes you just have to let yourself be a little sad over the things your heart is feeling. Like you said, tomorrow promises sunshine.

  1. Indulge yourself and when you wake up tomorrow, hopefully you will feel yourself again. We all have those days. Big, big squeezy hugs, Marla

I hear you Gail...We all have this kind of day at some time....I am like you...I like to sit in my chair, in my pj's or comfy clothes and do nothing. I let anybody in the house wait on me that I can get to do so...Go ahead and indulge yourself...eat chocolate if you want to...God's mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness...
Tomorrow will be a new day, full of sunshine for your soul...
    Blessings sweetie..

  1. Hope you have a nice indulgent day Gail! Some days are just better than others:@)

  1. Reminds me of something my daughter said when she was 4. She was just kind of teary-eyed, clinging to me most of the day. When I asked her what was bothering her, she said, "Sometimes it's just hard being little." Well, sometimes it's just hard being grown up also. I think as women we try to be everything to everybody, especially our family members, and sometimes we just need some time alone to regroup. Nothing wrong with laying around once in a while. I hope you have a blessed week! Big hugs from Kentucky

It's odd that you say that. I was really down yesterday. I don't know why? But today I am feeling normal. I hope that tomorrow is a new day for you and that you are back to your normal self!!

I hope your day ended better than it started off. Sometimes we just have days of deep contemplation thought. And I think you chose wisely, I love LOVE Jane Eyre!! Happy reading, snuggling, sipping!

  1. Hi Gail...

I just wanted to pop over to say hello, sweet lady. Thanks so much for coming by for a visit...I sure enjoyed your sweet note!

Ohh my...it's not often that I get "bluesy"...I really hate when I feel like that! I always try to concentrate on all the many blessings that the Lord has blessed me with...it's hard to stay blue then! I'm so sorry that you are missing your folks. I do understand. My folks live 1200 miles away and I just don't get to seen them as often as I would like. Sending big hugs and prayers your way, sweet lady! Enjoy Jane Eyre! It's one of my favorites!

    Warmest autumn wishes,
    Chari
